We have a various recommendations incredible restaurants close by. It will take you no more than 45 minutes to reach San Sebastián, which counts no less than 16 Michelin-star Michelins across its restaurant portfolio. Incredible tapas bars in the old town are also a must if you take the opportunity to visit the city, which hosts the first and only gastronomy university in the world – the Basque Culinary Center.

At Les Echasses, our approach to cuisine is simplicity and generosity primarily focused on quality and the careful selection of suppliers for the we don’t grow ourselves. The fruits and vegetables come from the surrounding farms, the cheeses directly from the Basque country. All 100% organic.
We have also become (very small!) farmers ourselves: on your plates you will find vegetables grown in our permaculture garden. Our fruit orchard provides the fruits for the jams you are served at breakfast, as these also feed our bees – in charge of the honey we serve. This little, yet growing, production is a source of pride and makes a lot of what you will eat with us very special.
